Categories

While a horror story will always be a horror story, there are also different categories of Creepy Pasta. That is, horror stories classified by what type of story is being told and while some of these are pretty obvious such as the Ghost category or the Disappearances category, Creepy Pasta has implemented some interesting new categories especially within the new generation of technology. For instance, there is what as known as the Lost Episode category. These stories typically involve lost episodes from famous TV shows that were never shown to the public for one reason or another. A classic example that circulated the internet is a story called Dead Bart about an unaired episode of The Simpsons that featured a very dark plot where Bart is killed. There are many disturbing points in this story that I won't spoil in case this interests anyone. Another category that I came to like is the Rituals category. These stories are not even really stories but more like a walk through guide to perform some ceremony usually to grant some kind of desire but the cost of messing up or the price you have to pay for what you want is often a fate worse than death. One of my favorite rituals is called The Devil Game where you can summon the devil to answer any question you can imagine. I wouldn't recommend trying any of these if you do happen to read up on them because last time I tried one, I ended up messing up and losing my left leg and my little sister. I wouldn't have to worry about the devil coming for me because my MOM would be after me. All jokes aside, I doubt any of these are real and they're very creative and if anyone does happen to try one, let me know what happens! Another interesting category is the Science category. These stories typically involve something going horribly wrong in the science world. A classic Creepy Pasta would be Gateway of  the Mind where scientist try to conceive a connection with God by cutting off all the senses of a test subject. These are just a few interesting categories. The official Creepy Pasta wiki defines many more categories such as Mirrors, Books, Animals, Television, Computers/Internet, Poetry, Mental Illness and many more. There's a category for everyone if that's your kind of story!
